Heidelberg - Gauteng
Heidelberg is situated at the foot of the Suikerbosrand. In 1975 the Rembrandt
Group opened the Transport Museum.
Johannesburg
Johannesburg unlike other cities was not founded near water but came from the
financial waters left behind - gold.
Krugersdorp
The site of the December 1880 gathering at which more than 6 000 men vowed to
fight for the Transvaal's independence.
Magaliesburg
Situated on the border of Gauteng and North West, flanked by the Magaliesberg
Mountain Range, a stunningly beautiful arena of coniferous forests, crisp streams

Midrand
Home to large-scale industries such as textiles and motor vehicles, it is a
business venue.
Pretoria
The capital city of South Africa, with the lilac splendour of jacarandas as

The Brightwater Commons
The centre boasts rolling lawns with leisurely walking paths cutting across

Sandton

Soweto
Soweto, the most widely-known township in the world, is massive, dusty, cosmopolitan
- it is home to the people.
Vanderbijlpark
The town which forms Southern Gauteng's border along the Vaal River, was proclaimed
in 1949.
Vereeniging
The Afrikaans word for 'Association' aptly describes the self-sufficient town
of Vereniging.
